We saw lots of disappointed faces at the past Bücherwald in June: Where was the cake? I thought I've come early enough...
We need YOU to make it happen! Did you know that all cakes are donations by our members? Just like the monthly Bücherwald is only happening thanks to our members' efforts to set it all up and pack it all down!
That means, no donations = no cake and no helpers = no Bücherwald.
Let's hope it won't get that far.
Hence, a kind reminder to all of you with a Volunteer Membership ($60):
The Bücherwald can only continue to run smoothly if we have enough helping hands to bake cake, but particularly to help with setting up beforehand and packing up afterwards.
We kindly ask you to help out at least twice a year to ensure we can continue to offer this amazing community event every month. Please always sign up via the link (distributed about a week ahead of the event via email) so we can record your volunteering and improve our planning. Thank you so much to all of you who have already helped many, many times and to all of you who will be in future! 💛
We get it: You had all the best intentions and wanted to help - but then reality hit and there's just not enough time!! What do I do?
Don't worry if you have signed up for a $60 Volunteer membership but realised you can't commit to the volunteering after all. You can always change your membership to the $80 membership that doesn't require any volunteering (although it's not prohibited ;)).
If you'd like to make the change, please just let us know via a quick message and we will assist you with this: derdiedasbuecherwald@gmail.com.
Changes to our Bücherwald Terms & Conditions are coming: We want to make sure all memberships remain fair!
Please be aware we will soon circulate new Bücherwald Terms & Conditions to all our members (via email). These will include a penalty for members, who agreed to the volunteering membership but have not volunteered yet. Stay tuned...
